About

Matthew Bae is a San Francisco-based jazz pianist. He grew up studying classical piano and viola, later expanding into ensembles for chamber music, orchestra, and American Gamelan. Since focusing on jazz, his interpretations are based on a modern study of the existing jazz language. Beyond the US, he has recently performed in Tokyo and Seoul. He currently studies with Sam Yahel.
