About

Matthew Bae is a San Francisco-based jazz pianist. He grew up studying classical piano and viola, later expanding into chamber music, orchestra, and other ensemble settings as well as studying American Gamelan. He performs jazz in settings ranging from intimate duos to larger group configurations. His playing is inspired with a continuous study of the existing jazz language and ever-evolving interpretations. He currently studies with Sam Yahel.
